After several months of speculation and planning, the collage workshop is under way! The "Color Wheel" poster we made promotes the workshop as English Language and Creativity through collage, but we are prepared to see the gatherings evolve in unanticipated ways. The first working session was more about art, as everyone was so focused on their collage composition, there was little conversation. As a first "assignment", we provided a line drawing of a cup, so everyone could get right into the mechanics of collage without pondering the subject (that will come later). We were pleased to see everyone use completely different colors, patterns and techniques.
